Israel's "crimes against the holy places" began with the burning of Al-Aqsa in 1969

“[The PA Ministry of Information] called upon the media institutions, human rights organizations, and Islamic and Christian bodies to document the crimes of the occupation [Israel] against the holy places, which began with burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969.”

Note: The arson in 1969 was committed by an Australian who was not Jewish.
