PA Shari’ah Judge Abdallah Harb: “There is no doubt that the occupation has selected as a target Jerusalem with all its elements – the religious elements, the urban elements, the holy sites, the worshippers. It is targeting the worshippers and the Muslim and Christian servants of God as well as the houses of prayer. This is an organized targeting by the occupation. The occupation’s ban on holding the Palestinian [PA] elections in Jerusalem is part of this policy that it is implementing to uproot the holy city and rip the capital away from the rest of the homeland, and to carry out all its plans. What it is doing with the Muslims and Christians, and by contrast the full freedom for the settlers to defile the holy sites, desecrate the sanctity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and enter it, and hold their rituals in all the sites – this is proof of this cruel and aggressive assault against our Palestinian people at the most precious site to our people, namely Jerusalem.”
