Abbas enlists Turkey's help to get Europe, Latin America and Canada to recognize Palestinian state
PA TV broadcasts part of interview with Abbas from Turkish TV:
Abbas: “We asked Turkey to help with some of the European countries, western Europe, and with some of the Latin American countries, and with Canada and the like – these are the countries which have not yet recognized the Palestinian state. We agreed that we would provide the honorable [Turkish] Foreign Minister with a list of all the countries of the world which have recognized us, and of those that have not, in order that Turkey might urge those countries to recognize the Palestinian state on the 1967 borders.”
