Journalists Association supports writer who says Israel has no claim to Western Wall

Headline: "Journalists' Association emphasizes solidarity with Al-Mutawakkil Taha"
"The General Secretariat of the Palestinian Journalists' Association emphasized its solidarity with the poet [and Deputy Minister of Information] Al-Mutawakkil Taha, and with his freedom of opinion and of expression on every subject, and especially concerning scientific research.
Prior to this, Taha's scientific study and article had been subject to rejection and condemnation by the US and Israel. The study talks about the history of the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall), and nullifies the Israeli version…
The General Secretariat emphasized its rejection of the Israeli and American position towards a documented study… and said that this reveals the falseness of the claimed Israeli democracy, and that this is the position that is required for condemnation on the part of Europe and America, and the organizations for freedom of opinion and of expression – a condemnation of the Israeli position which is hostile towards Palestinian freedoms and which attacks all that deviates from the version of the occupation and of aggression."

Note: Al-Mutawakkil Taha published a study denying all Jewish historical claims to the Western Wall .
