Outgoing Israeli PM Netanyahu’s rule “was the worst ever,” says PA PM Shtayyeh
PA Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh: “With Israeli Prime Minister [Netanyahu] leaving the seat of power in Israel yesterday after 12 consecutive years in which he ruled, one of the worst stages in the history of the conflict is ending. [A stage,] which was the worst ever aside from the period in which [former US President] Trump received the reins of power in the US… We do not think that the new [Israeli] government is not as bad as its predecessors. We condemn new [Israeli] Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s declaration of support for the settlements, especially in the so-called Area C.”
Area C is a land under full Israeli administration according to the Oslo Accords.
