Senior Fatah official expresses his wish to die as a "Martyr"
Headline: “Al-Tirawi: I have three wishes: to marry off my son, Hussein; to live to see the [Palestinian] state; and to die as a Shahid (Martyr)”
“’I have three wishes: [Firstly,] to marry off my son, Hussein; secondly – to be living at the time of the establishment of a Palestinian state with full rights; and thirdly – to die as a Shahid, (i.e., die as a Martyr for Allah), and not on my deathbed’ – so said Tawfiq Al-Tirawi, member of the Fatah Central Committee, in response to the question, ‘What would make your heart glad?’”
