“Hamas praised the President’s initiative. It publicized an announcement, saying:
‘In response to the acquiescence in the speech of the honorable President, Mahmoud Abbas, to the initiative of the honorable Prime Minister, Ismail Haniyeh, and to his readiness to visit Gaza, the [Hamas] movement praises this acquiescence and calls upon the Palestinian government to take care of the preparations necessary for the President’s visit to Gaza.”
