PA cartoon accuses Israel of teaching US police to kill George Floyd

The cartoon shows an Israeli soldier with a Star of David on his helmet instructing a white American police officer with an American flag patch on his shoulder in various methods of apprehending suspects that are sketched on a chalkboard. The soldier is pointing to a sketch showing a police officer kneeling on the neck of a suspect. This is in reference to the killing of US citizen George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer and claims by anti-Israel organizations that Israel was somehow linked to the incident because some Minneapolis police officers attended an FBI counter-terror seminar in 2012 where Israeli experts were invited to speak.

The cartoon refers to the death of African American US citizen George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 25, 2020. Floyd was killed by a white police officer named Derek Chauvin who kneeled on his neck for almost 9 minutes when arresting him, ignoring his pleas that he could not breathe. Following Floyd’s death, violent protests erupted across the US. Officer Chauvin has since been charged with second degree murder and manslaughter.
