Karake called [on Palestinians] to strengthen activities in support of the prisoners, with the approach of Prisoners' Day, which falls on April 14th. He stated: 'This is the month of heroism and action on behalf of the men and women prisoners, and we must act so that their cause will be the most pre-eminent, like their predecessors, such as Dalal Mughrabi [led the most lethal terror attack in Israel's history in 1978, when she and other terrorists hijacked a bus and killed 37 civilians], Darin Abu Aisheh [suicide bomber whose attack in 2002, injured 2], Wafa Idris [first Palestinian female suicide bomber whose attack in 2002 in Jerusalem, killed one and injured more than 150], and all the female Shahids (Martyrs) and prisoners."
