PA cartoon shows Fatah-Hamas unity as the end of Israel
Cartoon published in the official PA daily
Text on cartoon: “The unity and the annexation plan”
The cartoon shows two Palestinian men – a bearded man on the left representing Hamas and a man with a keffiyeh (Arab headdress) around his neck on the right representing Fatah holding a massive hourglass, from which sand is trickling down on an Israeli soldier to bury him alive, in a reference to time running out for Israel. Alternatively the two may be putting their hands together to cut off the trickle of sand down into the waiting open mouth of the soldier, in a reference to preventing Israel from “swallowing” the land in an annexation and not letting time run out for “Palestine.”
