PA daily: "The colonialist governments in Europe" established Israel "in order to deal with the Jewish problem"
Official PA daily columnist Muwaffaq Matar claims that the US tries to export the problem of radical Islam, which it nurtured for its own ends, back to its countries of origin, now that it has become a danger to the US
“The US is once again attempting [to implement] the solutions that were invented by the colonialist governments in Europe in order to deal with the Jewish problem and with the parties of the young Zionist movement, at the beginning of the 19th century. Great Britain acted then to transfer the whole problem from the heart of Europe to the heart of the Middle East region, by means of the promise by British Foreign Minister Balfour to establish a national home for the Jews in Palestine.”
