Facebook call to march on Israel’s borders on June 7

Following the events of May 15, when demonstrators from Syria crossed into Israel, the Facebook page “Third Intifada” is calling on Arabs to again march on Israel’s borders, on the anniversary of Israel’s unification of Jerusalem in the Six-Day War in 1967.
“Palestinian activists on the ‘Third Intifada’ Facebook page have called to mark the anniversary of the occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip (“the remission,” i.e., Arabic term for the Six-Day War) as on the day of the Palestinian catastrophe (“the Nakba,” i.e., the establishment of Israel), when demonstrations were held, one of which succeeded in crossing the border between Israel and Syria… The activists said, in their Internet announcement: “Out of loyalty to the Shahids (Martyrs), and in order to continue the path and to base ourselves upon the achievements of the revolutionaries and those who rose up, we announce forcefully and loudly that June 7th – the anniversary of the theft of Jerusalem, the ‘flower of cities’, by the Zionists – is the day for swearing loyalty to Jerusalem in every country of the world.’ They added in their announcement, ‘It has been agreed that June 7th, 2011, the day of commemoration of the remission (of 1967) will be the day upon which the Third Intifada will continue, and – Allah willing – the day when the remission will be transferred to the occupying entity (Israel)… The Intifada continues, and right now Palestine is closer to liberation.”
