Palestinian terrorists have a “right” to break out of Israeli prisons, says PA prime minister
“During his speech at the weekly meeting of the [PA] government that was held yesterday [Sept. 20, 2021] in Ramallah… [PA] Prime Minister [Muhammad Shtayyeh] said: ‘Our prisoners are the heart of the Palestinian national movement and six of them achieved their freedom anew from Gilboa Prison, and their re-arrest has reopened the prisoners’ issue (refers to terrorist prisoners who escaped from Gilboa Prison; see note below -Ed.).’
He added: ‘We are monitoring the issue with full seriousness and on a daily basis, and there is an authorized body that is monitoring all the details together with a team of expert lawyers,’ and he emphasized that ‘it is every prisoner’s right to strive for freedom.’”
