“The Palestinian national action factions, the civil institutions, the popular organizations, and the workers’ unions declared the establishment of a national monitoring committee against the [Israeli] targeting of our Palestinian people and its civil institutions, which has proven its professionalism and its commitment to [our people’s] causes and national rights.

Present at the meeting were Fatah Deputy Chairman [and Fatah Central Committee member] Mahmoud Al-Aloul, Fatah Central Committee members Azzam Al-Ahmad, Dalal Salameh, and Abbas Zaki, Secretary-General of the Democratic Front [for the Liberation of Palestine] (DFLP) Qais Abd Al-Karim, PLO Executive Committee member [and Palestinian Liberation Front Secretary-General] Wasel Abu Yusuf, Arab Liberation Front Secretary-General Rakkad Salem, Palestinian Arab Front Secretary-General Salim Al-Bardini, and representatives of all the national action factions…
The participants called to combine efforts in order to continue the legal, media, and popular campaign to expose the occupation’s crimes and attempts to define the Palestinian struggle as ‘terror,’ as the occupation is the terror and it is committing organized terror against our people and violating all the international conventions and laws.”
PLO Executive Committee member Azzam Al-Ahmad who spoke on official PA TV also serves as head of the PLO Department of Arab and Parliamentary Affairs, Fatah Central Committee member, Fatah Commissioner of National Relations, and Fatah Commissioner for Relations with Lebanon.
Dalal Salameh also serves as Fatah Commissioner of NGOs.
Abbas Zaki also holds the position as Fatah Commissioner for Arab and China Relations
