“I am completely amazed and happy that my son died as a Martyr,” says father of Palestinian youth, "he is a source of pride for us"

Official PA TV newsreader: “Our people accompanied to burial Martyr child Muhammad Amjad Da’das (i.e., died participating in violent confrontations against Israel), who was shot by the occupation and died yesterday [Nov. 5, 2021] during confrontations in the village of Deir Al-Hatab.”

Father of Muhammad Da’das: “May he find favor in Allah’s eyes. In the name of Merciful Allah, this is a source of pride for us. Allah be praised, he raised our heads and is a source of pride for us, for Palestine, and for the sake of supporting the prisoners. Almighty Allah be praised, this raises one’s head. In other words I am very grateful. I am completely amazed and happy that my son died as a Martyr and that I am leading him today as a groom (i.e., Martyr's funeral is considered wedding to the 72 Virgins in Paradise in Islam). Allah be praised, he is going to meet the prophets, the Martyrs, and the righteous. The angels will carry him and say: ‘We brought you a Martyr today.’ It’s incredible how good the feeling and joy of the prophets and Martyrs is.”
