Temple Mount “belongs to the Muslims alone, by a divine decree,” says PA religious leader, claiming Israeli school kids visits to the site are "invasions and violations"

Headline: “Sabri: The Al-Aqsa Mosque is in existential danger due to it being violated through invasions by the settlers’ schools”

“Today, Thursday [Nov. 25, 2021], Al-Aqsa Mosque preacher Sheikh Ikrima Sabri warned against an ‘existential danger’ that threatens the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in light of it being turned into a scene of invasion and violation by the settlers’ schools as part of their mandatory [school] trips (sic., refers to the Israeli Ministry of Education committee deciding to incentivize schools to take students to the Temple Mount)…

Sheikh Sabri emphasized that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is too lofty to be subjected to decisions of the Israeli Parliament or the occupation’s courts, as it belongs to the Muslims alone by a divine decree.

Ikrima Sabri also serves as Head of the Supreme Muslim Council.

The PA and its leaders misrepresent all of the Temple Mount as an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore, they vilify any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock. Israeli police ban Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount because of threats of violence by Palestinians.
