Fatah presents terrorist's family with an "honorary plaque" in recognition of murderer's "heroic" restaurant shooting

Official PA TV program Jerusalem Prisoners, on terrorist Murad Al-Ajlouni, who was involved in the murder of 3 people

Mother of terrorist Murad Al-Ajlouni: “The accusation that was made against Murad [Al-Ajlouni] (i.e., terrorist, involved in the murder of 3 people) was that he drove with young people [who are now] prisoners, he led them, and an operation (i.e., terror attack) was carried out at a restaurant, and they accused him of carrying it out. I don’t know the rest of the matter, how he went and how he arrived, I don’t know. I didn’t know anything about it. The restaurant blew up (sic., the terrorists opened fire on the diners with an assault rifle), 3 died, and 21 (sic., 35) were wounded, and they sentenced him to life for each one who died – a life sentence is 99 years – and 21 (sic., 20) years for the wounded.”

Murad Nazmi Al-Ajlouni – Israeli Arab terrorist with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) who, together with Fatah terrorist Mazen Al-Qadi, drove terrorist Ibrahim Hassouneh to carry out an attack on two restaurants, the Seafood Market and Mifgash Hasteak, in Tel Aviv on March 5, 2002, in which 3 Israelis were murdered. Al-Ajlouni used his status as an Israeli Arab to freely drive Hassouneh to the restaurants, where Hassouneh shot from the car at diners and passersby with an assault rifle, wounding 15, and also threw two grenades that did not explode. When his weapon jammed, Hassouneh got out of the car with a knife and stabbed and murdered Yosef Habi, 52, and Eli Dahan, 53. Druze Israeli Police Officer Sergeant-Major Salim Barakat, 33, managed to subdue Hassouneh, but as Barakat was reporting his location to his police commander, Hassouneh suddenly broke free and stabbed Barakat in the throat, murdering him. Police shot and killed Hassouneh, while Al-Ajlouni and Al-Qadi fled the scene in their car, but they were later arrested. Al-Ajlouni was sentenced in 2003, and is serving 3 life sentences and 20 additional years; Al-Qadi is also serving 3 life sentences and 20 additional years.
