The Palestinian National and Islamic Forces "welcomed the stabbing" of an Israeli prison guard by Hamas terrorist prisoner and sees it as a "victory" for prisoners

“The prisoners’ committee of the [Palestinian] National and Islamic Forces welcomed the stabbing operation that was carried out by one of the prisoners in Nafha Prison this afternoon, Monday [Dec. 20, 2021] (refers to Hamas terrorist prisoner Yusuf Mabhouh stabbing an Israeli prison guard -Ed.).

The committee held the occupation fully responsible for the lives of the prisoners, while calling to declare a state of emergency and full alert as a sign of victory for the prisoners. It also called to declare this Friday as a national and popular day of escalation for the sake of the prisoners.

 

 

 

Palestinian National and Islamic Forces - an unaffiliated coordinating body comprised of representatives from factions in the PLO and outside the PLO. The Palestinian National and Islamic Forces were established in 2000 shortly after the start of the PA terror campaign (the second Intifada, 2000-2005), under the authorization of Yasser Arafat and the leadership of terrorist Marwan Barghouti. During the PA terror campaign it played an active role in coordinating political efforts and terror attacks against Israel, but since the end of the campaign it has been less significant and its activity is primarily centered in Gaza.

 

Yusuf Mabhouh – Hamas terrorist who fired rockets at Israel and placed explosives during the Gaza wars in 2008 and 2012 – Israel’s Operation Cast Lead and Operation Pillar of Defense. Mabhouh was arrested in February 2019 after illegally entering Israel from the Gaza Strip and was sentenced in 2020 to 15 years in prison. Mabhouh stabbed an Israeli prison guard in Nafha Prison on Dec. 20, 2021.
