Al-Aqsa preacher says Muslims will be ex-communicated for selling land to Jews and Al-Aqsa is "purely Islamic and the property of Muslims only"

Headline: “Tens of thousands held Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and tensions and confrontations at Silwan”

“Preacher at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ikrima Sabri said from the Saladin Al-Ayyubi pulpit in the Southern Mosque (i.e., the Al-Aqsa Mosque itself) that it is forbidden to rob the land… and emphasized the fatwa (i.e., religious ruling) of the religious legal scholars of Palestine, according to which ‘one who sells land outside of the [Muslim] religious community – it is forbidden to pray for them, forbidden to bury them in the cemeteries of the Muslims, forbidden to marry them, and forbidden to associate with them.’ …

The sheikh emphasized that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, whose territory is 144 dunams (144,000 square meters -Ed.), with its plazas, passageways, and houses of worship above and below ground, is a purely Islamic mosque and the property of the Muslims only, and it cannot be divided and shared.”
