Terrorist: Islam supports my killing Israeli teen; Islam permits killing every ‎Israeli ‎

  • Terrorist murderer’s justification for murdering Israelis in the name of Islam, echoes teachings of the top two PA religious leaders

Palestinian Authority religious leaders have repeatedly taught that Muslims are commanded by Islam to fight against - and even allowed to kill - people who they say have “stolen their land.” Moreover, the entire PA leadership spreads the lie that all of Israel exists on “stolen” land. It is thus not surprising that when Muntasir Shalabi, who murdered 19-year-old Yehuda Gueta last year, was asked by investigators why he killed a random Israeli, he responded that every Israeli is a legitimate target according to “the religion” – because Israel “took houses in Ashdod and Haifa,” Israeli coastal cities:

Israeli investigator: “How does a person like you reach the point of committing an attack?”
Shalabi: “According to the religion [of Islam] it is permitted for me to attack and even to kill someone who took my lands.”
Israeli investigator: “To the best of my knowledge, you live in a large villa in the village of Turmus Ayya.”
Shalabi: “I mean that you took houses in Ashdod and Haifa (i.e., Israeli cities).”

The murderer’s answer directly follows the teachings of the two most important PA religious leaders Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Mahmoud Abbas' advisor on Islam and Supreme Shari’ah Judge, and Muhammad Hussein, the PA-appointed Grand Mufti. It is these two religious figures who disseminate the “moderate” PA interpretation of Islam.

Al-Habbash invited Palestinians to kill all Israelis when he compiled a list of 10 “transgressions” for which Palestinians are “commanded” to fight and “allowed” to kill the “transgressors.” The “transgressions,” were carefully selected in order to turn every single Israeli into a target that every Palestinian Muslim is “commanded” to fight and “allowed” kill. To strengthen his ruling, he ended with a verse from the Quran: “kill them wherever you find them.”

“And ‘kill them’ [Quran] – yes, kill the transgressors. If someone comes to attack me ... my home... my land... my homeland... my property... I am commanded to fight him… and I am allowed to kill him if necessary as Prophet [Muhammad] said and as this verse said: “And kill them wherever you find them.”

The PA Mufti Hussein similarly taught in the name of Islam that the theft of “Muslims’ lands” – including all of Israel – gives rise to a personal commandment of Jihad:

Official PA TV host: "All the religious rulings that were issued by the nation’s ‎religious scholars obligated fighting against the thieving Jews...‎”

PA Mufti Muhammad Hussein: "The texts clearly say that if an inch of the ‎Muslims’ lands (i.e., including all of Israel) is stolen, Jihad becomes a ‎personal religious commandment for everyone who is capable of it. This is ‎the Shari’ah law that the religious legal scholars have followed from the ‎beginning, from the days of the companions [of Muhammad].”

When the two most important religious figures in the PA preach to Palestinians that Islam demands Israelis be fought and killed not because of anything any Israeli does, but merely because Israel exists, then no one should be surprised when a terrorist asserts that murdering an Israeli teen was allowed by “the religion.”

Palestinian Media Watch has written to the Israeli government calling on them to demand that Mahmoud Abbas fire both the Mufti and his advisor on religion, remove them from all their positions of influence, and prohibit them from giving any more sermons on PA TV or anywhere else. PMW has also demanded that Al-Habbash and the Mufti be stripped of any special privileges, such as VIP cards that grant them preferential treatment for entering Israel and through the crossings with Jordan.

The fact that terrorists site these messages as their personal motivation to murder Israelis, is proof that the PA incitement is lethal.

In a similar fashion, last year, terrorist Muhammad Kabha cited PA incitement, which followed the death of cancer in prison of a different terrorist murderer, as the reason he murdered Esther Horgen.
