Kuwait bans ships carrying Israeli goods to and from Israel
Official PA TV News
Official PA TV newsreader: "Kuwaiti Minister of Public Works Rana Al-Faris issued a decision preventing the entry of trade ships bearing goods to and from Israel. The decision prevents maritime traders from submitting requests to permit the entry of foreign ships, as this violates clauses from the governmental order that was issued in 1959, which issues a ban on Israeli goods. Ambassador of Palestine in Kuwait Rami Tahboub welcomed the decision and on behalf of [PA] President [Mahmoud] Abbas and the Palestinian government and people thanked Crown Prince of Kuwait [Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah] and Kuwaiti Prime Minister [Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah] for the decision that again emphasizes that Palestine, its people, and its cause are among the main and central priorities of the State of Kuwait.”
