“Rifle, light a fire as a salute” - young woman dedicates poem to her two uncle murderers who are “lions and glory”
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning, on young woman Zeneh Hamed from Silwad, north of Ramallah, who writes and recites poetry
Zeneh Hamed: “I want to dedicate something to my uncles, prisoners [Akram and Rafat Othman Hamed] (i.e., murderers):
Rifle, light a fire as a salute to the people of Silwad. Bless the creators of nobility, our people of the noble revolution. Bless the creators of honor… I write for the brothers Akram and Rafat Othman. I write for the lions, for the nobility of our times, who did not fear the chains or the sentence of the cowardly judge... Akram and Rafat are lions, and glory is the Othman family.”
Akram Othman Hamed and Rafat Othman Hamed – Palestinian terrorist brothers and members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) who committed shooting attacks against Israeli citizens and soldiers and murdered a Palestinian they suspected of collaborating with Israel during the PA terror campaign (the second Intifada, 2000-2005). The two are serving life sentences.
