DFLP official calls for a “comprehensive intifada to confront the Israeli occupation and settler herds"

Headline: “Dweikat: What Beita achieved in 100 days of intifada necessitates adopting a united strategy for popular resistance”

“Democratic Front [for the Liberation of Palestine] (DFLP) Political Bureau member Muhammad Dweikat, who is one of the leaders of the popular resistance in the Nablus district, explained that the village of Beita completed 100 days of popular intifada (i.e., violent riots) yesterday [Aug. 13, 2021] in defense of Jabal Sbeih (i.e., mountain in the West Bank where the Jewish outpost of Evyatar is located) and its lands that are threatened with expropriation by the Israeli occupation forces and the settler herds…

Dweikat emphasized that the battle of Beita stressed that the resistance with all its forms (i.e., term used by Palestinians, which also refers to the use of violence and terror) is the way to restore the land and defend it, and that the unity of the people and its factions is the guarantee for continued resistance until the defeat of the occupation and the removal of the settler herds.

Dweikat concluded his statement by emphasizing that the developing of the tools, mechanisms, and methods of resistance in the village of Beita and in the rest of the areas of confrontation with the occupation necessitates a united national strategy that will adopt all types of resistance against the occupation and the settlement, including establishing a special national leadership that will plan tactics and daily plans of resistance, will provide factors of stability and resistance, and will develop its tools for a comprehensive intifada that will spur all the factors of power and activity in the arenas of confrontation against the occupation forces and the settler herds.
