Money donated to establish a new Palestinian hospital is being kept in a "special bank account" while the project is "frozen"

Official PA TV newsreader: “The Palestinian [PA] Ministry of Health said that the monetary donations that were collected to establish the Khaled Al-Hassan Medical Center for Cancer Treatment and Bone Marrow Transplants are being kept in a special bank account that belongs to the Khaled Al-Hassan Institute. The Ministry of Health said in a short statement that engineering plans were laid out for the project that would include 250 beds and whose cost is estimated at $160 million, and it noted that the project has been frozen in the meantime due to the lack of capital required to establish the project, while the ministry and [PA] government are working to raise the money to establish the medical center.”
