Last week, Palestinian Authority TV once again chose to glorify the most lethal terror attack in Israel's history.
In 1978, a group of terrorists led by Dalal Mughrabi sailed from Lebanon to Israel to carry out a terror attack. They hijacked a bus and killed 37 Israeli civilians.
PA TV broadcast a video honoring the terrorists, describing them as having "no fear of death or the darkness of prison." PA TV also broadcast this video as part of its celebration of the anniversary of the Fatah movement in January.

At the Fatah anniversary, PA TV also broadcast another video honoring the terrorists. It described them as "heroes... who shook the land, brought down mountains," and mentioned how "the coast was stormy with the glory of Dalal Mughrabi."

During the last three months, PA TV has broadcast another video twice weekly honoring Dalal Mughrabi, associating her with "Martyrdom" and "victory over enmity."
The video is part of a TV campaign to "support women's issues" in the Arab world, which was broadcast last year on more than 50 Arab TV stations including Palestinian Authority TV. It presents several "model women." Two of the women promoted as role models for Arab women today are Dalal Mughrabi, famous for her terrorist attack that killed dozens, and Al-Khansa, famous for celebrating the Martyrdom deaths of her children.
For years, it has been Palestinian Authority policy to glorify terrorists and turn them into role models. PA TV is one of the means by which the PA transmits this message.
PMW has documented how the PA has turned terrorist Dalal Mughrabi into a hero and role model of society.
The following are excerpts from the PA TV music videos glorifying terrorist Dalal Mughrabi and the attack she led:
"We [PLO squad] set out on patrol from Lebanon; with no fear of death or the darkness of prison. On the coast [Dalal] Mughrabi's blood was shed, the color of [red] coral on [white] lemon flowers."
[PA TV (Fatah), Jan. 2 and Aug. 24, 2011]
"The coast was stormy with the glory of Dalal Mughrabi. On the [Israeli] coast the heroes landed, who shook the land, brought down mountains.Dalal declared the birth of the [Palestinian] Republic, the birth of the Republic."
[PA TV (Fatah), Dec. 30, 2010]
