“(The column addresses the Israeli documentary film “Tantura,” in which former members of the Israeli Alexandroni Brigade speak about alleged violent acts committed by the brigade at the battle of Tantura during Israel’s War of Independence -Ed.)
The Palestinian land, from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea, is a stockpile of testimonies of the series of Zionist massacres and bloodshed. Every day a new page opens in the Israeli terror state’s criminal records. Despite the hiding of the acts of murder and the permission [of bloodshed], the victims are rising from their private graves or their mass graves and pointing an accusatory finger at ‘the only democratic state in the Middle East’… With their pure blood they are writing the story of their barbaric deaths at the hands of the new vampires more than 70 years ago. They are writing a renewed testimony about the true nature of the murdering and barbaric Sparta state, the state that sprouted from the mud and swamps of Western fascism and Nazism (i.e., Israel) …
Between the fangs of the Zionist fascists emerge hills resisting the barbarism of the organized crime extremists against innocent Arab Palestinians, and a number of wildflowers bloom in the desolate desert of massacre, which expose the shame of the Khazar Zionist murderer (sic., genetic research has proven Jews are not the descendants of Khazars and that they share a common origin in Israel). This is through testimonies and confessions of a number of living people (i.e., former soldiers who appeared in the film “Tantura”) who spilled much Palestinian blood, and who told the world in a documented fashion and in an explicit confession from the mouth of those who committed the massacre that their state is an ethnic cleansing state, which does not believe in peace, coexistence, democracy, laws, and international conventions. Every day it continues to cause disgrace to the free world, and it proves that it is Satan and the angel of death on the face of earth.”
Tantura - During Israel’s War of Independence, the Israeli army carried out an operation to take control of the Arab village of Tantura on the northern Israeli coast, which was serving as a port through which Arab fighters were receiving weapons and reinforcements from Lebanon. In addition, forces from Tantura were blocking the Tel Aviv - Haifa road and attacking Israeli vehicles. During the battle, on May 22-23, 1948, 70 of Tantura’s residents were killed, after which most of the residents left for the neighboring Arab villages, primarily Fureidis. What exactly happened in Tantura is the subject of debate. Some claim there was a massacre; others claim there was a “transfer” or “expulsion” of Arabs. On the other hand, a record in the Israeli army archives refutes that a massacre took place, and likewise, a report on the battle in the book "Al-Tantura," written by Yahya Mahmoud, a son of one of the village’s families, does not mention a massacre, and mentions that actually 52 residents were killed in the battle.
