At global parliamentary conference, PLO announces that Israel is committing “the most severe type of terror”

Headline: “Al-Ahmad called on the world’s parliaments to fight the organized Israeli state terror”

“Head of the Palestinian National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) delegation participating in the World Conference of Speakers of Parliament that is being held in Vienna, the capital of Austria, [PLO Executive Committee member] Azzam Al-Ahmad called on the world parliaments to fight the organized state terror and those who support it, which is being committed by the occupying power against our Palestinian people, because it is one of the primary causes for terror in the region and in the world, and given that it is the most severe type of terror.

In his speech yesterday, Thursday [Sept. 9, 2021], at the First Global Parliamentary Summit on Counter-Terrorism, Al-Ahmad mentioned Israel’s actions and the state terror that it is committing against our Palestinian people and its holy sites, as happened in the burning of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1952 (sic., 1969, the arson was committed by an Australian Christian with a mental health disorder, not by Israel) and the daily invasions of it.”

PLO Executive Committee member Azzam Al-Ahmad who spoke on official PA TV also serves as head of the PLO Department of Arab and Parliamentary Affairs, Fatah Central Committee member, Fatah Commissioner of National Relations, and Fatah Commissioner for Relations with Lebanon.

Michael Rohan - Australian Christian with a mental health disorder who set fire to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969. For years, the Palestinian Authority has falsely accused Israel of setting the fire.

The PA and its leaders misrepresent all of the Temple Mount as an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore, they vilify any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock. Israeli police ban Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount because of threats of violence by Palestinians.
