PA hypocrisy: PA announces to the UN that they oppose “terror in all its forms”

“Yesterday, Friday [Oct. 8, 2021], Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine at the UN Riyad Mansour emphasized the State of Palestine’s firm condemnation and opposition to terror in all its forms and expressions, regardless of where and regardless of who commits it, including cases in which states are directly or indirectly involved in it.

In a speech he gave on behalf of the State of Palestine before the UN Legal Committee during a discussion on the clause of 'measures to eliminate international terror,’ he said that the State of Palestine welcomes the seventh review of the Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy. He emphasized that it is important to sign a comprehensive agreement on the topic of international counter-terrorism, and expressed our pride that the State of Palestine is part of the group of friends of terror victims. He noted our support and aspirations to hold a first international conference of terror victims.

Mansour noted: ‘History teaches us that the strong, and particularly the colonialist forces, generally use terror as an excuse to persecute peoples that strive to achieve their legitimate right to national liberation and self-determination…

It also teaches us that states are liable to use counter-terrorism as an excuse to break the basic rules at the very heart of the system that is based on international law.’”
