Palestinians "invented the alphabet" according to the PA

Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning

PA Minister of Culture Atef Abu Saif: “The Palestinians have beautified the world with art for many periods in history, of course ever since we invented the alphabet, in other words our Phoenician ancestors [did] (sic.,).”

Note: The Palestinians are not related to the Phoenicians, and the Phoenicians did not invent the alphabet – the first recorded alphabet was written by Semitic workers and slaves in the Sinai Peninsula
