Palestinian Authority children's magazine provides grammar lesson, using "martyrdom" and "struggles against colonialism" as example phrases
Excerpt from the Zayzafuna magazine’s linguistic section, which provides corrections for common mistakes made in Arabic:
“Don’t say: ‘We will struggle against colonialism and fight against it.’
Say: ‘We will struggle against colonialism and fight it.’…
‘Don’t say: “So-and-so died a Martyr (Shahid) in the war.”
Say: “So-and-so died a Martyr in the war.”’” (The spelling for “died a Martyr” in Arabic is corrected.)
