Palestinian schoolchildren are taught that Israel is "the one who kills and destroys" and "tries to annihilate" Palestinians

Headline: “I am Jerusalem”

“I thought I was alone

With no one to help me

I looked around

And found thousands protecting me

I am a river full of pearls

I look around

And see the one who kills and destroys advancing toward me

But I am not afraid

And if I am afraid I hear a voice from afar [saying]: ‘Do not be afraid’

I see them demolish my home

Ruin my foundations

Try to annihilate me

I see the tears of the young

I hear the cries of the old

And so I know

That I am not alone

I am Jerusalem

I am the place to which the Prophet (Muhammad) was  conveyed

And now I know I am in the thoughts of every Muslim and believer

Now I know that you engrave my name on the children’s hearts

I will hold on for the sake of those who protected me

For the sake of those whose eyes dried out for me

For the sake of those who lost their voice so that I should remain

For the sake of those who died while assisting me

I will hold on as long as time passes.”
