“We have marched on the paths of struggle, and we are still marching on them. At their end we see only Palestine the homeland, the historical and natural right of us, our ancestors before us, and our grandchildren after us to our homeland Palestine from the Galilee to the Negev (i.e., in northern and southern Israel), from the [Jordan] Valley to the beaches of Jaffa (i.e., in eastern and western Israel). Cities, villages, every grain of sand, every stone, every drop of water, and every human soul in it is sacred.”
