"Provocative" Jerusalem Day flag march “threatens to blow up the entire region in an explosion,” warns Fatah

Headline: “Fatah calls to come out against the settlers’ provocative procession in occupied Jerusalem today – our people that is standing firm and carrying out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict over land claimed to be Islamic) will come out in strength against the fascists and will defeat their plans”

“The Fatah Central Committee called on Fatah personnel and the masses of our people to come out against the settlers’ procession today [June 15, 2021] (refers to rescheduled Israeli flag march that was cancelled on Jerusalem Day, May 10, 2021, due to Arab violence -Ed.), and to stand as one cluster in defense of Jerusalem and the Islamic and Christian holy sites.

The Central Committee emphasized in a statementyesterday that Jerusalem is a red line, and that our people is determined to resist the occupation in Jerusalem and in all the occupied Palestinian lands, and to thwart its imperialist plans… Our great people, especially in Jerusalem, is proving with every national achievement that it is unbreakable, it is not submitting to the policy of determining facts on the ground, and it will continue with its resolve and resistance until the last soldier and the last Israeli settler leave the land of its homeland.

[The Central Committee] said: ‘Our Palestinian people in Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the Interior (i.e., Palestinian term for Israel), and the diaspora will defeat these fascists from the racist Zionist right-wing.’

The Central Committee held the Israeli government fully responsible for the explosion of the situation in Jerusalem and all the Palestinian territories, and called on the international community to intervene quickly to stop this hysteria that threatens to blow up the entire region.”
