Palestinians “erase the remains of the defilement and filth” of the Israelis who marched in the Jerusalem Day procession, says PA

“Let us examine what happened at the settlers’ flag march in Jerusalem (refers to rescheduled march that was previously cancelled on Jerusalem Day, May 10, 2021, due to Arab violence -Ed.). Their thousands of flags stood before one Palestinian flag, which a Palestinian woman succeeded in bringing into the Damascus Gate [of Jerusalem’s Old City]. This was enough to drive them crazy. They pounced on her and achieved a ‘victory’ when they stole it from her hands, pursued her, attacked her, and beat her – thousands of people who are deluded that Jerusalem belongs to them, each of whom has one or perhaps more armed soldiers guarding them, and against them stands a small number of [Palestinian] residents who are the owners of the land. With difficulty they succeeded in reaching the gate, while cheering the Palestinian flag and reminding the delusional ones that Jerusalem never belonged to – and never will belong to – the occupiers…
The hate-filled march, whose participants chanted the slogan ‘Death to the Arabs,’ ended, and the response came quickly. Young men and women of Jerusalem drew out the weapon of life – cleaning tools, brooms, water, and cleaning and disinfectant materials – in order to erase the remains of the defilement and filth from the Damascus Gate plaza…
The brooms and cleaning tools join the rest of the tools that the occupiers fear: nail scissors, fruit knives, screwdrivers, files, transportation vehicles (refers to household items that have been used as weapons in terror attacks -Ed.). They are of course also joined by the rustling of trees, the chirping of birds, and the memory of the homeland.
Fear will continue to hound them. We will live on our land, and they will die every day from existential fear on a land that is not theirs. Happy is our life that defeats them.”
