Fatah lauds "the uncompromising resistance member" who killed at least 9 Israelis, amidst a video venerating violence
Video and text posted on the Facebook page of the Fatah Commission of Information and Culture
Posted text: “19 years since the death as a Martyr (the word “death as a Martyr” was written with an English letter in it, in an apparent attempt to evade Facebook’s algorithm -Ed.) of commander Marwan Zalum (i.e., terrorist, involved in the murder of at least 9 people)”
Video:
The video, which was produced by Fatah-run Awdah TV, includes many images of terrorist Marwan Zalum and other terrorists holding weapons.
Text on screen: “Nineteen years since the death of the uncompromising resistance member
A long journey of struggle
Whose title was Martyrdom on the land of Palestine
He joined the ranks of the revolution at age 18
And oversaw military teams that inflicted heavy losses on the Israeli occupation in the Interior (i.e., “Palestine”) and outside (i.e., abroad)
This is Marwan Zalum
The husband of Suad Zalum, number two on the Fatah Movement election list
He was born in 1960 in Hebron
He joined Fatah and became one of its most prominent fighters
He acted against the Israeli invasions in southern Lebanon
He moved between Syria, Jordan, Libya, and Tunisia
And mere months before the Al-Aqsa Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005, more than 1,100 Israelis murdered), he returned to Palestine and was appointed to a senior position in the [PA] Security Forces
He established military teams of the Al-Aqsa [Martyrs’] Brigades (i.e., Fatah’s military wing)
And oversaw the self-sacrificing operations (i.e., terror attacks) against the settlers in the intifada
Thus he became the most wanted in Hebron
On April 22, 2002, he was targeted by three missiles
that directly struck his car, and he ascended to Heaven as a Martyr”
