Palestinian who named his son “Eichmann” in order "to anger Zionism" is praised by the PA
“Prisoner Al-Ghadanfar Abu Atwan (PMW was unable to determine the nature of his crimes -Ed.), 28, a Fatah member from the town of Dura in the Hebron district, is continuing… to raise his voice against the occupation state, its criminal policy, and its severe violations of the UN conventions, its laws, and human rights. This is despite the weakness and frailty of his body due to the unlimited hunger strike [he launched] in protest of his administrative detention. He has been detained since October 2020, and he is an officer in the [PA] customs police forces…
Prisoner Al-Ghadanfar Musa Abu Atwan is the scion of a fighting family, which historically for many decades has loved the struggle.
His grandfather participated in the revolutionary activity before the 1967 Naksa (i.e., "the setback," Palestinian term for Israel's victory in the Six Day War), and he commanded armed groups. The grandfather was arrested at the end of 1967 and was sentenced to eight years in prison. In the same period, his uncle Bajes Abu Atwan (i.e., Fatah terrorist killed while fighting against Israel in 1974), who is known as ‘Abu Shanar,’ was wanted for seven years, and when he died as a Martyr the occupation’s military governor gave his body a military salute. The occupation admitted to 52 successful operations (i.e., terror attacks) by Martyr Bajes Abu Atwan.
In the same period, their home was blown up three times, and the family members lived in a Red Cross tent for three years.
His aunt Haifa was arrested for nine months, and his aunt Abla for six months. His grandfather, Musa Abu Atwan, was expelled a month before his release date, and he remained in exile until his death. Due to his love for his homeland, he gave birth to a son and gave him the name Eichmann to anger Zionism. After the Mossad (Israeli Secret Intelligence Service) executed Adolf Eichmann, [Al-Ghadanfar’s] grandfather said: ‘The one who burned the Jews out of hatred has passed on, and the Palestinian Eichmann has been born.’
Eichmann followed the same path, and was arrested in 1989…
Eichmann left prison and gave birth to Al-Ghadanfar, who continued the same path of struggle. It should be noted that he is the nephew of prisoner Munif Abu Atwan (i.e., terrorist, involved in murder of 4), a prisoner who was sentenced to 5 life sentences.”
