Dalal Mughrabi’s murder of 37 Israelis, including 12 children, was a “heroic battle” according to Fatah
Headline: “Lebanon: The Fatah Movement marks the anniversary of the assassination of Abu Jihad and Palestinian Prisoner’s Day”
“The Fatah Movement’s main branch [in Lebanon] marked the 33rd anniversary of the assassination of historic leader and deputy commander general of the Palestinian revolution forces, Martyr Khalil Al-Wazir ‘Abu Jihad’ (i.e., terrorist, responsible for the murder of 125 people), which takes place in parallel with Palestinian Prisoner’s Day…
Secretary of Fatah and the PLO factions at the Shatila refugee camp Kazem Hassan said: ‘Today [April 17, 2021], on the anniversary of the death as a Martyr of leader Abu Jihad Al-Wazir, we also stand and salute our brave prisoners.’ …
Hassan spoke about the operation to assassinate the three leaders on Verdun [Street] (i.e., the “Verdun Operation”; see note below). He told how at the time [then Israeli military leader] Ehud Barak dressed up as a woman to carry out the assassination, while leader Abu Jihad’s response was to send a real woman [Dalal Mughrabi] (i.e., terrorist who led murder of 37, 12 of them children) to him who oversaw a heroic battle together with her companions, crossed the sea, and established the first republic of Palestine.”
