PA spreads false libel that Israel "is preparing to carry out the so-called Temple project on the ruins of the Al-Aqsa Mosque"

Deputy Director-General of the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Department Sheikh Najeh Bakirat: “The Israeli occupation is planning what it calls ‘preparing the Holy Basin’ (i.e., an archaeological term referring to the Old City of Jerusalem and adjacent territories), and because these [Muslim] cemeteries are in this area, it wants to create a Jewish Holy Basin. In other words, it is preparing [to carry out]the so-called Temple project on the ruins of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The continued existence of this landscape [of the cemeteries] prevents what they are planning.”
