“Save the Al-Aqsa Mosque before it is too late” cries PA Grand Mufti

Headline: “The [PA] grand mufti calls to save the Al-Aqsa Mosque before it is too late

“[PA] Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories and preacher at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Muhammad Hussein directed an urgent call to presidents, kings, and emirs of the Arab and Islamic states and their peoples. He called on them and urged them to act to stop the racist aggression that is being plotted against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement by the [Palestinian] Dar Al-Ifta (i.e., the official PA body for issuing religious rulings headed Hussein) yesterday evening [April 14, 2021], Sheikh Hussein said that the uprooting of the doors of the Al-Aqsa Mosque minarets by the occupation authorities two days ago, preventing the sounding of the call to prayer (apparently refers to loudspeakers being cut to avoid disturbances during the official Israeli Memorial Day ceremony held at the Western Wall Plaza below; Muslims responded by rioting and throwing rocks, wounding 6 -Ed.) and bringing in meals for the [Ramadan] fast breaking meal for the fasters, in addition to threatening to break into the mosque at the end of the blessed month of Ramadan are the beginning of a religious war, whose consequences will be borne by the entire world.”

Muhammad Hussein also serves as Deputy Secretary-General and acting Secretary-General of the PLO Popular National Conference of Jerusalem.

The PA and its leaders misrepresent all of the Temple Mount as an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore, they vilify any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock. Israeli police ban Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount because of threats of violence by Palestinians.
