PA Ministry falsely accuses Israel of "explicitly calling to blow up the arena of confrontation into a cycle of violence and anarchy during Ramadan"

Headline: “The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs demands that the American administration intervene to stop the Israeli escalation”

“The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates demanded that the International Criminal Court (ICC) immediately launch an investigation of the crimes of the occupation and its settlers. It also demanded that the American administration and the international community quickly intervene to stop the deliberate Israeli escalation.

In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the crime in which the Israeli occupation executed the three Martyrs Saeb Abahreh, Khalil Tawalbeh, and Saif Abu Libdeh (i.e., Islamic Jihad terrorists who shot at Israeli security forces) yesterday morning [April 2, 2022] in Jenin, on the first day of the [Muslim fasting] month of Ramadan, and it abducted their bodies.

[The ministry] said that this new crime is an inseparable part of the series of daily murders against our people under the auspices and with the approval of the Israeli political echelon, and that it constitutes an explicit call to blow up the arena of confrontation into a cycle of violence and anarchy. This is in order to serve the occupation’s interests and its colonialist expansion plots, and to deliberately harm all efforts that are being made to achieve calm, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the Israeli government led by [Israeli Prime Minister] Naftali Bennett fully and directly responsible for this crime. It demanded that the international community provide international protection for our people.”

Saeb Abahreh, Khalil Tawalbeh, and Saif Hafzi Abu Libdeh – Palestinian terrorists and Islamic Jihad members who were killed on their way to committing a terror attack in an Israeli city on April 2, 2022. They opened fire as Israeli forces attempted to arrest them, injuring four Israeli soldiers, one critically, before being shot and killed. In the terrorists' car soldiers discovered weapons and a farewell letter explaining their motivation to kill Israelis and calling on others to do the same. Abu Libdeh also made a video in which he read the letter, which was publicized by Islamic Jihad after the shootout. Tawalbeh was 24, Abu Libdeh was 25, and Abahreh was 30.
