Fatah says "the Palestinian right of return of the refugees is a sacred right"

Headline: “Fatah: The demand to cancel the right of return is an expression of the occupation’s arrogance and extremism”

“The Fatah Movement emphasized that the demand to cancel the right of return of the Palestinian refugees expresses the arrogance of the occupier, and its patronization and extremism.

Fatah Movement Spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi stated that the right of return of the refugees to their homes, cities, and villages from which they were uprooted by force is a sacred right guaranteed by international law, and noted that there is no force in the world that can cancel a deep-seated right like the right of return.

He added that the occupation state brings strangers in order to plant them in our land, and builds lands with our stolen land, which it has taken control of through the force of weapons.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s call to Palestinians on July 18, 2016, to concede the right of return:

“Where do I have a partner who is ready to acknowledge the finiteness of the conflict, the right of return, so that for the foreseeable future the control from the West of the Jordan [River] and until the [Mediterranean] Sea will be in our hands. States are collapsing and states are on the verge of collapse. If we remove the [Israeli] army and Israeli Security Agency from these places, the first thing to collapse will be the Palestinian Authority, as happened in the Gaza Strip.”
