PA Prime Minister says foreign aid donations will be used for projects rather than to fix the deficit in the PA budget

“Under the auspices and in the presence of [PA] Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, the [PA] government signed three agreements with the European Union (EU) and Norway at the Prime Minister’s Office in Ramallah yesterday [Dec. 17, 2020]…

Shtayyeh said: ‘We thank everyone who has stood by Palestine politically, materially, and in terms of morale. Despite this aid there remains a deficit of $730 million in the [PA] general budget, but this money has been allocated to projects and not to aiding the budget.’”
