4,400 Palestinian prisoners are currently being detained in Israeli prisons

“Prisoners and released prisoners’ affairs expert Abd Al-Nasser Farwaneh said that relying on the most updated report that was published by the Israeli Prison Service and includes the details of the statistical data regarding the prisoners and detainees, various sentences were given to 2,650 prisoners from among all the prisoners, including 544 who were sentenced to life…
Farwaneh explained that among the prisoners who were sentenced are 1,501 prisoners who were given active prison sentences of more than 10 years. Among them are 173 prisoners serving 10-15 years, 290 who are serving 15-20 years, 494 who are serving more than 20 years and less than life, and 544 who are serving one or more life sentences.
Farwaneh noted that there are 1,149 prisoners who were given a sentence of less than 10 years, including 792 prisoners who were given sentences between 3 months up to less than 5 years, and 357 prisoners who were given sentences of between 5-10 years of imprisonment…
It should be noted that the number of prisoners in the occupation’s prisons stands at 4,400 prisoners, including 38 female prisoners, 155 children, and 350 administrative detainees.”
