Official PA Daily makes false statement that "Jihad is raging everywhere in the world except Palestine"

“I was quite surprised by the Saudi authorities’ announcement that they intend to arrest those Saudi citizens who wish to join the fighting in Syria and arrest those already involved in this fighting on their return to Saudi Arabia…

How I hope that the authorities in Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, Libya and Chechnya will make such a decision to close the ‘gate of wandering’ which brings thousands of young Arabs and Muslims to face death under the slogan of Jihad, which is raging everywhere in the world except Palestine.

Of course, I am not opposing the commandment of Jihad, which is a personal commandment that applies to all Muslims in the event that Muslim countries come under occupation or tyranny, but I am specifically speaking about the American-style Jihad, which assembles enthusiastic young people in conflict zones in the Syrian territories and distances them not just from Palestine but also from the Golan (northern Israel).

I saw them on the television screens and I knew that only few of the ‘Jihad fighters’ in Syria are Syrian, while most come from the Arab and Muslim Gulf countries, Yemen, the Levant, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and the Arab Maghreb countries.

I heard them speak of freeing Syria from the rule of the Ba’ath party and Bashar Assad, and in the past I heard them speak of liberating Afghanistan and Chechnya from communist rule. But not once did I hear them speak of liberating Palestine from the Israeli occupation. On the contrary, one of their leaders in Egypt openly opposes Jihad in Palestine for fear that this would embroil the army in a big war, which would inflict heavy losses on the country and God’s subjects.

This is the American shrewdness, which is revealed in all its ugliness in the activities of the Arab Jihadists who serve the American project. This is the shrewdness which clears paths towards the Garden [of Eden], which pass through all countries near and far, while Palestine remains the path to the hell of American fury (i.e. anyone who dares come to Palestine to fight will arouse the anger of the US -Ed.)."
