PA spreads horrific libel that Israeli fighters in Deir Yassin "mutilated the bodies of the Arab Martyrs while dissecting their organs"

Official PA TV News, on the anniversary of the capture of Deir Yassin

Official PA TV reporter: “[In Deir Yassin] the [Zionist] gangs mutilated the bodies of the Martyrs while dissecting their organs and splitting open the stomachs of pregnant women, amid bets about the gender of the fetus(sic., such claims of atrocities were made for propaganda purposes at the time, but they are not supported by evidence and eyewitnesses have debunked them –Ed.). Regarding those who survived among the men and women in the village, the Zionist gangs stripped them naked and paraded them in the streets of Jerusalem as the Roman armies did in ancient times (sic., while there are reports of the prisoners being paraded, there is no record of them being naked –Ed.), and afterwards they shot and executed them.”

Deir Yassin - On April 9, 1948, Jewish fighters from the Irgun and Lehi military groups, part of the forces opening the blockaded road to Jerusalem, attacked the Arab village of Deir Yassin. When the battle was over, the village had fallen and in addition to the Arab fighters killed, 107 civilians were also killed. Narratives differ as to whether the civilians were killed in the crossfires or were intentionally murdered by the Irgun and Lehi fighters.
