Israeli Arab MP Zoabi calls for Palestinian "popular struggle… to paralyze ‘Israel’s’ normal life"
Headline: “Zoabi: ‘Netanyahu has lost control, and the security coordination will save him’”
"MP Haneen Zoabi, the Arab member of the Israeli Parliament, stated that the prime minister of the occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu, has completely lost control, and that security coordination would save him from this ‘state of distress.’
In an interview with Al-Resalah.net, Zoabi stated that the occupation’s terrorist measures indicate that Netanyahu has entered the stage of hysterics and madness.
She said that Netanyahu’s decision to prevent Arab Parliament members from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque is ‘meaningless and does not concern them at all.’ She emphasized that the MPs will visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque and defy this decision.
She added: ‘Israel won’t determine for us our connection with our people, Jerusalem, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. We will enter our holy sites, and will defy this decision.’
She noted that MP Jamal Zahalke has actively defied this decision, and will be followed by other Arab delegates who will visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Regarding the continued security discussions between the PA and the occupation, she emphasized that the Palestinian people will not accept any form of security coordination between the PA and the occupation army. She noted that this coordination is the gravest thing happening right now, especially because it ‘takes place within a sea of blood and Israeli massacres.’
She stated: ‘This coordination always remains outside the national consensus , and against the Palestinian interests, and is the crucial factor in Israel’s success or failure in quashing this uprising. Moreover [the security coordination] is Israel’s main salvation, and may bring about a strategic change in favor of the enemy.’
She called to respond to the Israeli escalation with hundreds of thousands of worshippers persistently frequenting the Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially tomorrow [Oct. 9, 2015], Friday – in order to confront any Israeli plan that could result in allowing the killing of [Palestinian] residents of Jerusalem; and because it is necessary to stop the cycle of indifference, according to her.
She clarified that what is happening now are merely individual actions that require popular support. She stressed that only the popular struggle can recruit the people and gain its support, and [only] it is capable of paralyzing ‘Israel’s’ normal life.
She warned that if the individual actions continue without popular support – the situation may subside within a matter of days. She noted that thousands taking [to the streets], will turn the [individual] events into a real intifada, which will be a strategic turning point for the Palestinian cause."
