“[PA] Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said that the settlement enterprise is the enemy of peace, and that the Israeli occupation government must cease its colonialist plans, taking control of our lands, and building thousands of housing units in the settlements.

At the start of the [PA] government meeting today, Monday [Nov. 9, 2020], the prime minister said that the number of settlers in the Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem, is over 750,000, and that they constitute 25% of the residents in the West Bank.

He emphasized that the time has come for Israel to choose between the two-state solution and demographic dissolution, and noted that for the first time since 1948, the number of Palestinians in historical Palestine (i.e., Israel and the PA areas) exceeds the number of Jewish Israelis by more than 250,000 people.”
