Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, is "purely Islamic" according to PA Minister
Headline: “Dozens carrying out Ribat were wounded while defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque and hundreds of settlers invaded it”
“[PA] Minister of Religious Affairs Hatem Al-Bakri said that the settlers’ decision to wave the Israeli occupation flags at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and sing ‘the Israeli national anthem’ is a blow to our holy sites and a blatant attack against them.
He explained that carrying out this step constitutes ‘blatant defiance of the sensibilities of the Muslims in Palestine and in the Arab and Islamic world, and a desecration of the most sensitive Islamic holy site in Palestine, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which constitutes a purely Islamic mosque with all its elements within its walls.’”
The PA and its leaders misrepresent all of the Temple Mount as an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore, they vilify any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock. Israeli police ban Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount because of threats of violence by Palestinians.
