Official PA TV newsreader: “The [PLO] Executive Committee warned against the new-old dubious plans and attempts whose goal is to eliminate UNRWA’s (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) activity, and against the danger of submitting to political and financial blackmail in order to be consistent with the calls issued by the occupation government time after time to eliminate the agency and transfer its services and its missions to the host states and to the [UN] High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on the way to eliminating the refugees’ cause.”
