Fatah senior official pays visit "to offer condolences" to families of "Martyrs" Ra’ad Fathi Hazem and Diya Hamarsheh who together murdered 8 civilians

Headline: “Abbas Zaki: Palestinian national unity is a duty and essential for achieving national independence”

“Fatah Movement Central Committee member Abbas Zaki said: ‘We must implement the recent decisions of the [Palestinian] National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) that convened in Ramallah, which determine that we must stop the security coordination with the Israeli occupation and revoke the recognition of it, in light of the criminal policy of murder and execution, which the occupation is committing against the Palestinian people.’

He added: ‘The Israeli occupation soldiers’ invasion of the Jenin district and its [Jenin] refugee camp (refers to counter-terror activity -Ed.) and the settlers’ invasion of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque plazas complement each other. Every attack on the Jenin refugee camp is an attack on every city, village, and refugee camp in all of Palestine. Jenin and its refugee camp, which in 2002 fought a heroic battle against the occupation soldiers (refers to terrorists attacking soldiers conducting a counter-terror operation; see note below -Ed.), are capable of standing against the invading occupiers and handing them defeat.’

In statements made during a visit he paid to the Jenin refugee camp and the town of Ya’abad to offer condolences over the death of the three Martyrs Ra’ad Fathi Hazem (i.e., terrorist, murdered 3), Ahmed Al-Sa’adi (i.e., terrorist, shot at Israeli soldiers), and Diya Hamarsheh (i.e., terrorist, murdered 5), he said: ‘The international community must stop the massacres that the occupation army is committing against the fighting Palestinian people, which is defending its homeland with honor and courage.’ …

He emphasized that… it is the right of our people in all areas of occupied Palestine to resist the Israeli occupation, which has denied all the agreements and does not recognize this people’s existence and its legitimate rights to its land and its homeland.”

Abbas Zaki also holds the position as Fatah Commissioner for Arab and China Relations

The PA and its leaders misrepresent all of the Temple Mount as an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore, they vilify any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock. Israeli police ban Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount because of threats of violence by Palestinians.

Jenin – refugee camp north of Nablus that was a major hotbed of terrorism in the PA terror campaign 2000-2005 (the second Intifada). To reduce the attacks, Israeli forces entered Jenin on April 3, 2002, to conduct searches as part of Operation Defensive Shield, which was carried out to destroy the terror infrastructure in the West Bank, and several days of intense fighting against Palestinian terrorists in booby-trapped houses ensued. While the PA claimed that the Israeli forces committed a “massacre” and killed hundreds of civilians, a UN report refuted these claims, confirming that 52 Palestinians were killed in the battle of which the majority were terrorists. 23 Israeli soldiers were also killed in the fighting.

Ra'ad Hazem - 28-year-old Palestinian terrorist and PA Security Forces member who shot and murdered 3 Israeli civilians - 27-year-olds Tomer Morad and Eytam Magini and 35-year-old Barak Lufan - and wounded 14 others when he opened fire on a crowded bar on Dizengoff Street in central Tel Aviv on April 7, 2022. Hazem escaped the scene of the attack and was found hiding near a mosque in Jaffa by Israeli security forces several hours later. He opened fire on them and was killed in the ensuing shootout.

Ahmed Al-Sa’adi – Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist who shot at Israeli security forces who were conducting a counter-terror operation in Jenin on April 9, 2022, following the murder of 3 in Tel Aviv on April 7, 2022 by terrorist Ra'ad Hazem from Jenin. Al-Sa’adi was killed in the ensuing shootout.

Diya Ahmed Hassan Hamarsheh - Palestinian terrorist and Fatah member who shot and murdered 5 people - Israeli civilians Rabbi Avishai Yehezkel and Ya'akov Yisrael Shalom, Israeli police officer Amir Khoury, and 2 foreign workers from Ukraine identified as Alexander and Dmitry - in Bnei Brak near Tel Aviv on March 29, 2022. An Israeli police officer shot and killed Hamarsheh, ending the attack. Hamarsheh, from Ya'abad near Jenin, had been working in Israel illegally. He was imprisoned for 6 months in 2015 for dealing in illegal weapons and membership in a terror organization.
